Collection: BEGINNERS Sketch Club (11 - 15 yrs)

A weekly 1.5 hour studio session for beginner students to become confident with quick sketching as well as an introduction to a variety of mark making techniques using graphite, charcoal, ink plus a variety of erasers and tools.

This program is offered in terms 3 & 4, in preparation for continuing with our intermediate or advanced term programs. A broad range of 2 and three dimensional reference subjects from food to animals ensures an eclectic selection to maintain artists' interest ensuring an allround drawing ability.

Sketch Club focuses on visualisation strategies and spatial reasoning therefore improving new artists' ability to draw quickly and accurately. Students are encouraged to make quick sketching a daily habit. Spending as little as 15 minutes a day sketching quickly adds up in the 'confidence bank'.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a term program which is time-limited/date specific and there are no 'make-up' sessions or credits brought forward to the following term for missed classes, regardless of reason for absence. Term fees will not be adjusted for planned absences as your child’s place in the program is reserved for the entirety of the term program. In the unlikely event that we have to cancel a class, an alternative date and time will be scheduled during the term. Unfortunately we do not offer ‘trial’ classes.
