BEGINNERS Sketch & Draw | Youth Art Studio Term Program | Suitable for ages 12 - 16 years

Sketching and drawing are fundamental skills necessary for all other fine art disciplines. This program is for absolute beginners who need to acquire confidence and a solid understanding of the basics.

Students will learn various spatial reasoning strategies and practical methods of application so as to draw accurately and confidently. The artist's eye is developed to see the necessary information of any given subject and how to translate that to paper. Exercises include drawing from life and printed reference material.

Classes are strictly limited to 10 students per term and preference is given to returning students before places are opened to new enrolments. The term is generally 10 weeks and the fee is $550, payable in cash 4 weeks prior to commencement of the term. As it is a date specific term program there are no make up sessions for missed classes, irrespective of reason for absence. In the unlikely event that a class is cancelled by the studio (extreme weather), a make up session will be arranged before the following term.
